The Sommelier Collective is delighted to announce the next Discovery Course with Wines of New Zealand. “Undiscovered New Zealand” is a two part educational course, which will take place on the 21st and 28th June from 10.00am-11.30am.
Led by New Zealand’s only Master Sommelier, Cameron Douglas MS, the course will delve into the intricacies of the country’s rarer varieties, smaller regions and innovative winemaking techniques.
The first session will look at the new and discovered aspects of New Zealand’s winemaking.
The second session will take a deep dive into New Zealand’s finest Chardonnays and Syrah – not varietals that you would necessarily associate the country with – and discuss the variety of different soil types, climates and viticultural techniques that make New Zealand expressions of these grapes so spectacular.
